Dr. Seyed Shahrokni:

Thanks for your design. It looks very nice, Calvin. It must have taken a lot of time to create this job aid. Your explanation is very thoughtful as well. But I have some comments for you: 1. The title and the body do not align. Your body starts from the border of the text boxes. Also, your name does not align with the title. I am not against center-alignment of titles, but left aligning it gives you a more organized design. Try and see, 2. The arrows are inconsistent in size. 3. I know you used the arrows to fill the space between the blocks, but do you really need to do so? A good design does not need arrows to be read properly--proximity and alignment are all you need to establish the order. Remove them and see how it looks like. If you still preferred them to be there, leave them. It is important that you make a conscious decision about them. 4. The last arrow in your work breaks the consistency (repetition) of your design. That's why I say you may be better off without them.

When I looked at the Job Aid, I directly knew that is a professional Job Aid. I also liked the colors you used but I think if you used a white as a background would be brighter. Regarding the four elements repetition, contrast, alignment, and proximity, they ere used and applied correctly. however I noticed one mini alignment issue in the box number 4. I will remember your design for mine in future.

Your Job Aid design on How to use Mendeley is very impressive. Your instructions and steps to use Mendeley are very helpful and beneficial for those who are pursuing their academic study and who are in the field of research. This design is clear and aligned well to the left.  All the information is easy to read. Your design shows good chunk and information is close to related chunks. There is color contrast in the steps which is eye-catching and shows the important information. I like the way you board the exact steps on the Mendeley website. I learned how to use Mendeley to create a bibliography with APA format and I will show my students how to use Mendeley with this design. The thing I feel that needs to be improved is the font and size on the picture, which are small and a little bit hard to read. Also, if you can change the background to be a brighter one, this design will be more eye and mind comfortable. Overall, this Job Aid design is good to meet all the design principle and all related information is closed and well organized.
